Vizag is fast emerging as a major destination for an umpteen number of activities. From developing the tourism sector to signing MoUs with several international players, the city has been witnessing promising developments in the past decade or so. Here are 4 reasons why Vizag is deemed to be one of the most prominent destinations in South India.
Visakhapatnam, which is the largest city in Andhra Pradesh, is fast emerging as a major IT hub in the state. Multiple IT firms have are geared up to set up their offices in the city to help bolster the IT ecosystem here and also provide employment opportunities. Global giants such as Conduent Inc and Franklin Templeton and Innovation solutions recently had their office spaces inaugurated in the city.
Vizag is taking rapid strides as a major tourist destination in Andhra Pradesh. While nature cover, which includes lush green hills and deep blue waters, held our captive since times immemorial, multiple activities such as scuba diving, yachting, snorkelling, and others, are bolstering the city’s fame as a tourist heaven for many.
In addition to its picturesque locale, availability of other favorable facilities have made multiple firms evince interest to launch their operations in Visakhapatnam. International biggies such as LuLu and Walmart have already started working on their respective projects in the city. Also, if the investments promised in the CII Partnership Summits in the past materialize soon, the city’s youth would be able to avail a larger number of employment opportunities.
Over the years, the advent of several international flights and far-reaching trains have enhanced the geographical connectivity in Vizag. While there still remains a lot that needs to be achieved in this aspect, the future certainly seems bright. Also, if the special railway zone is allocated to Visakhapatnam, the city’s prominence on the railway map too will be enhanced manifold.
