Stage set for Vizag Fintech Festival

The Government of AP is organizing Vizag Fintech Festival which is scheduled from October 22-26, 2018 at Hotel Novotel, Visakhapatnam, AP (India). It is a flagship initiative of ITE&C Department that brings together industry, academia and investors to innovate, co-create and build the Fintech ecosystem. The Vizag Fintech Festival marks the next leg of the journey, after Blockchain Business Conference Oct 2017 and Fintech Spring Conference March 2017.

The four-day festival will focus on BankTech, InsurTech, GovTech, Financial Inclusion, EmergeTech and will host an exclusive group of leading corporates, regulators, start-up entrepreneurs and academics from around the globe who will meet up and explore how these technologies will impact the future.

The festival will be witnessing about 75 eminent speakers and 2500 delegates from all over the globe discuss and voice opinions on the latest market trends and several booming technologies in the global fintech ecosystem.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh was at the curtain raiser of the event in Visakhapatnam and launched the official website of the festival. IT Advisor to Government J.A. Chowdary and IT Secretary Vijayan were also present at the event.

Addressing the media at the curtain raiser event, Nara Lokesh said that the government plans to stay ahead of the curve in this fast-changing dynamics of the fintech ecosystem. “We are using technology in every aspect in Andhra Pradesh and its prime example is the implementation of real-time governance in the State using IoT sensors and drones,” he was quoted as saying.
