The passengers of Indigo 6E710 flight from Delhi to Visakhapatnam were in for a few panicking minutes when smoke was detected in the flight’s cockpit on Thursday. As many as 170 passengers were on board when the flight returned to Delhi to make an emergency landing. The cause of the smoke, however, has not been known yet.
A full emergency was declared as soon as the smoke was detected on board. Further details on the incident are yet to be known.
Sadly, this is not the first time that such mishaps have occurred this year. Earlier this year, an Air India aircraft, carrying 15 passengers who were headed to Bhubaneshwar from Mumbai, also had to make an emergency landing after smoke was detected in its cockpit.
The passengers hope that completely functional and foolproof aircrafts are put into use so as to ensure safe and secured flights.
