Mr. Praveen Kumar stated that each year, the World Tourism Day would be celebrated in the district on a grand scale. There will be tourism related activities organized in the city and other places in the district like Arakku, Lambasingi, and Girijan areas. He mentioned that the current season is a ripe one for Vizag tourism and people from places across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Chattisgarh, and West Bengal converge here. This coupled with the Dussehra season would prove to be a major boon to the city’s tourism sector.

A special dais arranged at the RK Beach will host various cultural activities and talent shows to engage the crowds. The theme for this year’s event has been chosen as sustainable development.
