17-12-2017 was one memorable Sunday for Visakhapatnam! Ranging from an international cricket match to some high profile conferences, the city had it all to keep us hooked. Here are some of the engaging events that took place on this eventful Sunday in the city.

#1 Cricket Fever

The cricket fans in the city had a ball as India and Sri Lanka locked horns for the final match of the ODI series here on Sunday. The fans flooded the stadium to witness team India pummel the Lankans and they were not disappointed a bit. India strolled home to victory as Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, and Shikhar Dhawan ensured that the crowd got their sums of money worth.

#2 The ‘Food Day’

Vizag food truck festival received a massive response on Sunday. The fest, which was a congregation of several food trucks from the city, treated everyone with some delicious food that was put on offer. Also, the peppy music and other cheerful activities ensured that the visitors were kept glued to the event.

#3 IIM Visakhapatnam EXORDIA

All the budding entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts in Visakhapatnam had one place to go yesterday. The second day of IIM Visakhapatnam’s EXORDIA, their Annual Entrepreneurship Summit, had some inspiring guest lectures and fun-filled activities to make the Sunday a memorable one for the participants.

#4 Special Olympics by JCI Visakhapatnam

JCI Vizag organised Special Olympics 2017 to encourage the inherent sporting talent of Specially Abled Children from the districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam. The event had many enthralling sporting competitions which witnessed a cheerful participation by a large number of enthusiasts.

#5 AP govt and UNESCO collaborate for ‘TECH’ conference

The Government of Andhra Pradesh and the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) collaborated to organise ‘Transforming Education Conference for Humanity (TECH) conference in Visakhapatnam. The three-day event, which was flagged off on 16th December, is a unique conference on Digital Pedagogies that embed concepts of peace and sustainable development.
