In what is coming as a grave news, it has been reported that a school girl in Visakhapatnam has been allegedly raped by a contract labourer. The incident took place on Sunday under Airport Police Station limits.
As per a report in TOI, the girl, who was studying in Class X, knew the labourer who took her to an isolated spot near her school and allegedly raped her. The officials filed a case based on the complaint registered by the victim’s parents.
The recent incident comes as yet another shocker in Visakhapatnam which has been witnessing such grisly crimes in the past few months. While a speech and hearing challenged minor girl was raped in the last month, another woman was raped by a drunk man on the road in broad daylight last year, which created tremors nation-wide. Also, there were reports that a cab driver in the city tried to sexually assault one of his female passengers a few months ago.
