8 Visakhapatnam things that impress international tourists more than anything else

Many international tourists are flocking to the shores of Visakhapatnam and there are some things here that prove to be more attractive to them.

Visakhapatnam is a tourist heaven and has become quite an international destination off late. But among the many attractive things to do and see here, there are some that prove more interesting to interesting to international visitors. Here are some, if not all.

#1 RK Beach

Starting with the very obvious choice is recommended because everyone loves sand, sea and surf while sampling local street foods such as muri-mixture, corn on the cob and other beach side Vizag delicacies. A visit to the Submarine and Aircraft museum goes with the plan for this excursion.

#2 Adventure sports 

Camping, kayaking, trekking, hiking and much more are on offer in Visakhapatnam and foreigners really love these kinds of offbeat travel things.

#3 Ramanaidu Studios with a spot of coffee

A trek up the hill and sitting down for an amazing cup of coffee with grand views is on everybody’s list of Visakhapatnam things to do.

#4 Rushikonda Beach

One of Vizag’s 24*7 claim to fame, Rushikonda is the beach to kill all beach stereotypes. Paddleboat, kayak and more on good days and seafood available nearby are big draws here. A favourite spot for international tourists, watching fisherman in action leaves a memorable impression.

#5 South India foodie joints 

Who doesn’t love a crispy dosa or a fluffy idli? A South Indian treat a la Vizag-style. Sai Ram parlor, Venkatadri Vantillu etc and there is an endless list of mouthwatering delicacy joints. Thalis and more, tiffins and filter coffee is the way that visitors tuck into gastronomic pleasures here.

#6 Hotel hospitality with good views 

The hotels in town offer views that are a treat for the eyes. The Park, Novotel, The Gateway, Four Points by Sheraton are all competent names on the list with many more. The plus to the hotel hospitality is the killer view of Vizag skyline that keeps your company while you hang out.

#7 Lighthouse atop Dolphin Hill 

The Vizag harbour which is famous all over the world is visible magnificently from this place. The channel with the Navy and commercial ships and the boats chugging along is a happy sight. This is the best place for East-coast happiness. Though not many get the clearance, this is an attractive spot.

#8 Simhachalam Temple
 

No one’s trip to Vizag is complete without a visit to this pious place, be it local, national or international visitors. NRIs flock here. The devoted find faith here and the vacationers have the added delight of a scenic spot. If not inside, from the outside, the architecture and grandeur is breathtaking too.

Visakhapatnam has all it takes to be the tourist’s hub that it is an international visitors leave impressed, there is no doubt about it.
