visakhapatnam
The ranking of the city this year is at test again as “Swachh Survekshan-2018” begins. A lot depends on the feedback that the residents of Visakhapatnam are giving and it could make or break the city ranking. This time the aim is for the top spot and Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation is in top gear. The city people have been called on for helping securing the first ranking for their beloved city. The survey has to be addressed and this feedback can be given in many channels. Hoardings have come up for the same and people urged to come forward.
This year the opinion of people becomes more important than even last years because it will be awarded 35% weight this year vis-a-vis last years 30%. The survey is broadly classified into three components with 4,000 marks – Service Level Progress (35%, 1400 marks), Direct Observation (30%, 1200 marks) and Citizen Feedback (35%, 1400 marks). The survey will be conducted from Jan. 4 to March 10.
The data will be drawn from municipal body, direct observation and citizen feedback. One can give feedback by giving a missed call to 1969 or logging on to www.swachhsurvekshan2018.org or on the Swachhata app.
