Police arrest YSRCP leader Vijay Sai Reddy in Visakhapatnam

Amidst high tension and drama in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, YSR Congress Party general secretary and MP V. Vijay Sai Reddy was arrested by the police in front of the party’s office in the city.

The YSRCP leaders, who organised a rally opposing the TDP’s Dharma Porata Deeksha held in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, apparently set out to “cleanse” the area where the event took place yesterday. High drama was witnessed as hundreds of party’s leaders and members were confronted by the police in an attempt to stop their rally. The confrontation further led to chaos as a few leaders, including Vijay Sai Reddy, agitated by sitting in the middle of the road and raised slogans.

Speaking to the media persons, Reddy criticised the Chandrababu Naidu-led government and highlighted its ineffeciency in doing justice to the various sections of the society.
