In nothing less than a miraculous escape, a man from Andhra Pradesh escaped unhurt after being stuck under a moving goods train at Anantapur railway station on Sunday.
Reportedly, the man decided to cross the rail tracks instead of taking a foot over bridge to get to the intended platform at the railway station. As per the details provided by the onlookers and railway police, the man got down from the Lucknow-Yeshwantpur express on platform no 2 and proceeded towards platform no 1.
While the goods train was stationed on platform no 1, the man tried to sneak under the compartments in an attempt to cross the tracks. However, once the locomotive began to move, he laid down flat and stayed still on the track as the train passed over him.
“The person stayed still for nearly a minute as the train passed over him and luckily he came out unscratched,” a railway personnel was quoted as saying by The New Indian Express.
The man seemed to be in a state of shock and so were the onlookers who couldn’t believe his luck. A few also scolded the man for attempting such a risky feat. The incident was reportedly recorded by a vendor on platform no 2, and the video has gone viral on social media.
