Union Ministry to study growth rate of Vizag

Along with Varanasi and Muzaffarpur, Vizag has been selected to examine the study of growth rate in primary, secondary and territory sectors.

The Union Ministry of Commerce has selected the city to study the growth rate in the past five years and also study about the expected growth in the next 5.

IIM Lucknow Director, Dr Ajit Prasad and his team arrived in the city on Wednesday to discuss with the district administration. They would study the ongoing works in agriculture, horticulture, hospitality and other sectors.

He also mentioned that his team would be visiting the villages to collect a feeback from the stakeholders to access Central and Andhra Pradesh government schemes.

Joint Collector G Srujana, in the team meeting, mentioned that the administration is running successfully in the field of industries, agriculture, fisheries, and horticulture. Also, to improve GDP, vital role has been played by service sectors, health, education, transport, tourism, tribal arts, heritage, and pharma.

She also advised the IIM Team to visit the agency areas to study their growth rate.
