The TTD has plans to bring the much revered Lord to devotees within their cities. It has decided to build temples and conduct Vaibhovatsams all over the country. Right now, the TTD is building Divya Kshetrams at Kurukshetra, Kanyakumari and Mumbai. 10 acres of land has been allocated for the TTD at Rushikonda for the same.
Divya Kshetrams will be constructed at Visakhapatnam and Amaravati later on after the allocation of land there. The TTD has allocated funds worth Rs 21 crore for the Rushikonda Divya Kshetram. The religious group has reportedly taken possession of the 10 acres of land and the main temple will be constructed at a cost of Rs 12.5 crore.
Sridevi and Bahudevi sub temples will also be built within the premises. Four mada streets around the main temple and construction of Vahana Mandapam adjacent to the temple are also in the works. Accommodation will be provided at the site for both pilgrims and staff. TTD will also be laying approach roads and a footpath with a staircase. The works for all these are expected to start in the near future.
In the past, Divya Kshetrams have been constructed in Hyderabad, Puttaparthi, Chennai and Bengaluru.
