Fifty three tribal women hailing from Narsipatnam were taken to the Brandix apparel SEZ at Achyutapuram near Visakhapatnam. The trip was organised as a part of ‘Giri Mahila Abhyudaya Yatra’ to make them aware of the opportunities available to them. The trip was flagged off by Assistant Superintendent of Police Aishwarya Rastogi.
The women hailing from the villages of Nimmapalem, Paidipunukula, Tummalabanda, Marrivada, Gudlapalli and Cheedipalem have an educational qualification of class eight or above.
If the women seem interested, arrangements will be made for them to secure a job at Brandix apparel. The visiting tribal women learnt how various units work and interacted with the workers there.
