Vijay Sai
In a sad news, Telugu comedian and actor Vijay Sai has committed suicide by hanging himself. It has been reported that the actor resorted to the fatal step during the early morning hours of Monday at his residence in Yousufguda, Hyderabad.
The comedian, who acted in many films, is a well-recognised face among the Tollywood audience. Vijay shot to fame by working in popular Telugu films such as ‘Bommarillu’, ‘Party’, and, ‘Ammayilu Abbayilu’.
It has been reported that the comedian was battling financial difficulties and depression as a result of not getting any film offers over the past few years. However, the exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be known.
While speaking to a News Channel, Vijay’s parents claimed that Vijay and his wife had differences between them for the past three years. They also said that the couple had a spat a few days ago which, they feel, might have prompted Vijay to take the fatal step.
The latest case of Vijay Sai has once again brought to light the suicidal tendencies of actors battling depression. It is a known fact that many film actors succumb to depression at a particular stage in their careers. Disheartening cases of actors such as Silk Smitha, Uday Kiran, and Ranganath are a few examples to testify this fact.
While a few make a fortune in the film industry, many poor souls end up becoming victims of the multiple psychological traumas that come along with the fame. It is indeed an unfortunate thing that has been happening with our beloved film artists.
