Tamil Nadu beheads his mother, walks into police station with ‘severed’ head

Anand, a 30-year-old man allegedly decapitated his mother Rani, a widow, with a sharp weapon and surrendered himself at Karambakudi police station in Tamil Nadu, carrying the severed head all the way along with him, police informed.

It was said that the accused and his mother had frequent quarrels over a property dispute. After an argument on the same issue on Sunday morning in their house, Anand allegedly committed the crime before surrendering himself to the police.

Further, the police added that the slain woman was acquitted in a case of murdering her husband 10 years ago.

The accused has been arrested.
