Student suicide in Narayana points finger at faculty

The Narayana Junior College is the site of the recent unfortunate student suicide. A 16 year old inter student committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan. This incident has taken place in his room at the hostel . The student suicide is recorded at the residential campus of Narayana Junior College at Gundavalli village, Gannavaram mandal. The student was P Eewar Reddy. He hailed from Manchikarli village in Guntur.

The student suicide holds the faculty responsible. The suicide occurred after the (now) deceased student was man handled by his teacher. The cause for this vicious ill treatment was the inability of a student to complete a work assignment given to him. The grief stricken parents have pointed finger for the unfortunate case at the faculty. A case of unnatural death has been filed under CrPC Section 174. The ill treatment metted out seems to be the push over the edge for the student.

The student suicide is not the first and many reported incidents have happened such. Pressure and competition along with unfriendly study atmosphere have stressed students beyond reasonable limits. The case points out how faculty without hand holding are the catalyst in the burn out process.
