SG Chalam, State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation, assisted by R Lakshmana Rao, State Vice-President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation and several senior office bearers of Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts, reached out to the cyclone affected people of 10 interior villages of Srikakulam district namely, Pentibhadra, Rajam, Baathupuram, Peddavanka, Bipalli, Chinnabipalli, Akkupalli, Kondapalli, Gaduru, Sariyapalli and Rangoi today and presented 335 relief kits ‘Sai Sahay” .
Each kit consists of rice, Dal, cooking oil, tamarind, red mirchi, plastic mat, steel utensils kit for cooking, salt, candles, matchbox kit, towels, steel glasses, a photo of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and vibhuthi.
Sri SG Chalam said that “worried and disturbed” at the extensive damage to the villagers of Srikakulam district, Sri RJ Ratnakar, Trustee, Sri Sathya sai central trust, Puttaparthi has sent a lorry with over 1000 new sarees and new blankets, which will also be distributed to the worst affected soon after its arrival in next few days.
Chalam said that a mega free integrated medical camp will also be conducted for the villagers on 28th October 2018 at Mandasa village of Srikakulam district by a big team of very experienced doctors of Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisations from Vizag and Vizianagaram districts.
It may be noted that the Sevadal (volunteers) of Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation, Srikakulam district, has been offering milk, bread, biscuits and drinking water ever since the cyclone lashed Srikakulam district.
