Special trains through Visakhapatnam that have been cancelled or diverted

Due to the commission of doubling and non-interlocking works at the Vijayawada-Uppaluru section in the Vijayawada Railway Division, the following special trains passing Visakhapatnam are proposed to be cancelled or diverted, as detailed below.

List of special trains cancelled due to the non-interlocking works:

#1 Train no. 08561 Visakhapatnam-Kacheguda special train leaving Visakhapatnam on 12 and 13 August 2021.
In the opposite direction, train no. 08562 Kacheguda-Visakhapatnam special train leaving Kacheguda on 13 and 14 August 2021.

#2 Train no. 02717 Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada special and train no. 02718 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam special trains 13 and 14 August 2021.

#3 Train no. 07239 Guntur-Visakhapatnam special train leaving Guntur on 12, 13 and 14 August 2021.
In the opposite direction, train no. 07240 Visakhapatnam-Guntur special train leaving Visakhapatnam on 13, 14 and 15 August 2021.

#4 Train no. 02831 Visakhapatnam-Lingampalli special train leaving Visakhapatnam on 12, 13 and 14 August 2021.
In the return direction, train no. 02832 Lingampalli-Visakhapatnam special train leaving Lingampalli on 13, 14 and 15 August 2021.

6 special trains, in total, have had to be diverted due to the ongoing non-interlocking works. These trains will skip Gudivada, Kaikuluru, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town and Tanuku railway stations on their usual routes and instead pass through Vijayawada, Eluru and Nidadavolu railway stations. Here’s the list of the 6 special trains through Visakhapatnam that have been diverted:

#1 Train no. 07479 Tirupati-Puri special train leaving Tirupati on 7, 9, 10, 11 and 13 August 2021 will be diverted.

In the opposite direction, train no. 07480 Puri-Tirupati special train leaving Puri will be diverted on 6, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13 August 2021.

#2 Train no. 07481 Tirupati-Bilaspur special leaving Tirupati on 8 and 12 August 2021 will run on a diverted route.
In the opposite direction, train no. 07482 Bilaspur-Tirupati leaving Bilaspur on 7 and 10 August will also run on the new route.

#3 Train no. 08519 Visakhapatnam-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus special leaving Visakhapatnam on 12 and 13 August 2021 will be diverted.

#4 Train no. 07016 Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar special leaving Secunderabad on 13 August 2021 and the return train no. 07015 Bhubaneswar – Secunderabad special train leaving Bhubaneswar on the same date will run on a diverted route.

Passengers have been asked to make note of the changes and plan their journeys accordingly.
