A two-day event, the SIIMA 2017 hosted at Abu Dhabi on June 30th and July 1st concluded successfully with an exotic overdose of awards, silver screen glamour, star spotting and brilliant entertainment. Held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the red carpet was graced by the best of four cinematic genres – Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
South Indian movie stars like Rana Daggubati, Allu Sirish, Rakul Preet, Nayanthra, Madhavan and many others gathered with entertainers from Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif at the event. While the Bollywood hotties promoted their upcoming movie and cheered the winners, they gave a stage performance of Lungi Dance.
Friday the 30th of June saw the Telugu and Kannada movie stars receive their awards. Being the first day the award ceremony was dazzled by performances of Armaan Malik, Akhil Akkineni and Regina Cassandra, heralding the hit ceremony.
While we give you the full list of the Telugu movie award winners, it is of significant note that tribute was paid to late Dasari Narayana Rao, a stalwart Indian filmmaker felicitated with two National Awards

Best Actor in Supporting Role – Srikanth for Sarrainodu
Best Actress in Supporting Role – Anasuya Bhardwaj for Kshanam
Best Debutant, Male – Roshan for Nirmala Convent
Best Debutant, female – Nivetha Thomas for Gentleman
Best Debuatant Directore – Tharun Bhasckar for Pelli Choopulu
Best Director – Vamshi Paidipally for Oopiri
Best Film – Pelli Choopulu
Best Actor – Nani for Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha
Best Actress – Rakul Preet for Nannako Prematho
Best Actor, Critics Award – Nani for Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha
While the first day was for felicitating the Telugu and Kannada movie award winners, the following day was for Tamil and Malayalam award winners.
