A ‘fair’ choice for shoppers

Bright and colourful sarees from places like Bangladesh and Benaras, beautiful brass collection from Aligarh, Iran fruit chocolates, Rajasthani footwear, Pune cookies, Kerala crispy chips …all under one roof. Traders from different parts offer a variety of products at the ongoing India International Mega Trade Fair at Gadiraju Palace near Beach Road in Visakhapatnam.

While big-sized dates from Afghanistan, costing Rs 2,400 a kg, catch the eye of visitors, mouth-watering Kerala Halwa in different flavours attract those having a sweet tooth.

While a stall seling bamboo organic crockery, priced at Rs 699 a kg, draws crowds, glittering fasion accessories in another spot are the choice of many women.

The other products which are on display at the fair include a wide range of furniture, handy massagers, jute bags, utility itseems, organic oils for hair growth, Dubai suits, cotton dresses, handicrafts and a number of food items. Turkish ice cream delights the children as well.

The fair, which is being held every year, was inaugurated on June 13. It will continue till June 25.

A gift coupon is being offered on every purchase of Rs 3,000, and an entry fee of Rs 30 each is being collected from visitors.
For shoppers in the city, the Mega Trade Fair in Gadiraju Palace offers a variety of products and they can add more to their already existing collection.
