With Vinayak Chaturthi starting tomorrow, Rythu Bazaar in MVP Colony is jam packed with people and several colourful stalls can be seen in and outside the market. Vendors selling decorative items are surrounded by people and the festive spirit is spread all around.
Right from flowers, fruits, vegetables to Ganesh idols, everything is being sold and people are putting extra efforts to bargain and get things at low prices. Festive items, thermocol pandals and other Puja requirements are also being sold. Handmade glittery caps are attracting our attention from a distance while stray dogs and cows are being an additional pain in the scorching heat.
Due to the commencement of Ganesh Chaturthi, fruits and flowers are being sold at higher prices and people are seen quarrelling at their loudest pitch to the vendors. Constant traffic jam is seen since morning around the lanes of Rythu Bazaar and no sign of traffic police is seen.
Stalls selling beautiful Ganesh Idols are the places where the crowd is maximum and the whole scene is very photogenic. If you happen to go to the market, take a water bottle along with you and park your vehicle away from the bazaar doors to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
