The much awaited teaser of the movie Rock On 2 was released recently. Rock On 2 is the sequel to the 2008 movie Rock On.
Rock On was about four friends who had a band named “Magik” but couldn’t make it big due to inter-personal differences, they reunite after several years to perform once again. Farhan Akhtar made his acting and singing debut with this movie. This movie was loved by the youngsters and sort of started the trend of forming rock bands.
In Rock On 2, the actors have reprised their roles. The main actors from Rock On – Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai are still there except Luke Kenny since his character died in the first movie. The new additions to the movie are Shraddha Kapoor and Shashank Arora who made his debut in the movie “Titli”.
Shraddha Kapoor will sing 3 songs in the movie – are we happy? Not particularly, no! Especially after hearing her sing, sorry, STRUGGLE to sing the title track, of which we were given a glimpse in the teaser. She is one of the actresses in the league of Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha who “try” to sing.
Farhan Akhtar is seen rowing a boat donning a beard and Arjun Rampal has ditched his long hair for a badass mohawk. The movie is set in Shillong, Meghalaya where Magik is seen performing after 8 years. We even got a glimpse of some drama happening, so the movie will be more than just music.
With Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s music and Shujaat Saudagar’s direction, the movie is set to release on November 11.
