Ram Gopal Varma responds to Imran Khan in his trademark style

Director Ram Gopal Varma has a unique way of responding to different societal issues. The filmmaker generally prefers to express his opinions on Twitter and, more often than not, ends up raking a social media storm with his tweets. RGV, as he’s popularly known, has now chosen to respond to the recent comments made by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on the Pulwama attack.

In case you didn’t know, Imran Khan recently responded on the dreadful terrorist attack on the CRPF jawans on 14 February at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. In a video, Khan stated that conducting “talks” between India and Pakistan was the only way to resolve the raging issue.

While there has been a severe backlash on the Pakistan PM’s comments, RGV entered the fray to respond on the issue in his trademark style. Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Ram Gopal Varma posted a series of tweets targetting Imran Khan.

“Dear Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI If problems can be resolved by dialogue… You wouldn’t have needed to marry 3 Times,” read the first tweet by the filmmaker.

“Dear Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI Can you please educate us dumb Indians on how to have a dialogue with a man rushing at you to explode tons of RDX on you ..And of course we all Indians will pay you, your tuition fee Teacher,” read another tweet. Ram Gopal Varma’s famous sarcasm was there to be seen as he continued to target Imran Khan with a few more tweets.

Check out his tweets here.

On the work front

Ram Gopal Varma is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Lakshmi’s NTR. Touted to be a real-life account of the late actor, the film has been at the core of many controversies of late. It remains to be seen if the film does manage to overcome the hurdles and hit the screens anytime soon.
