Ram Charan-Boyapati film slated for a Pongal release

The much-awaited Ram Charan and Boyapati Srinu’s film is gearing up to hit the screens on the occasion of Pongal next year. Sharing the news on their official Twitter handle, the movie’s producers, DVV entertainment said, “We are delighted to announce that our upcoming film with Mega Powerstar Ram Charan & Boyapati Srinu’s #RC12 will hit cinemas for Sankranthi 2019. #RC12ForSankranthi2019.”

While it was speculated that the film would be releasing on Dussehra 2018, the latest announcement has confirmed a Pongal release. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film stars ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ fame Kiara Advani as the female lead for Ram Charan. Reportedly, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Sneha, Naveen Chandra and Aryan Rajesh in other prominent roles.

Ram Charan, who is currently riding high on the stupendous success of Rangasthalam, would be hoping to weave his magic once again at the box office. On the other hand, director Boyapati Srinu too would be hoping to get back to form after his previous ‘Jaya Janaki Nayaka’ received a lukewarm response from the audience.
