Following the advice of his uncle Pawan Kalyan, actor Ram Charan is all set to adopt a cyclone-hit village in Srikakulam district.
Pawan Kalyan, who recently toured the Titli-affected areas in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram, said that he would ask Ram Charan to adopt a village in the districts and do his bit in helping the cyclone victims.
Taking to social media, the Rangasthalam star shared in a note which read, “During his tour of the cyclone regions of Srikakulam and Vijayanagaram, Kalyan Babai suggested that I adopt one of the affected villages. I’m glad that Babai came up with this idea and it makes me extremely happy and privileged that I’m in a position to contribute and make a difference.”
“I’ve decided to implement Babai’s suggestion and have already discussed it with my team to initiate the process. My team would identify the area which would benefit with my contribution and I shall make an announcement regarding the same very soon,” Ram Charan added further.
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan had also given a call to the general public to help the cyclone-affected areas in Srikakulam. Drawing similarities with the recent destruction caused in Kerela, Pawan Kalyan said that the locals are fearing of losing their livelihood. “I request all the Janasainikis and other charity organisations to come forward and help the cause here in Srikakulam. Each one of us must respond in this time of grief and do our bit in helping the victims,” he said.
