Telugu news anchor Radhika Reddy allegedly commits suicide in Hyderabad

Telugu news presenter Radhika Reddy allegedly committed suicide in Moosapet, Hyderabad on Sunday. The anchor, reportedly, jumped to death from the fifth floor of her building after leaving a suicide note behind.

The suicide note of the 36-year-old stated depression as the cause for taking the extreme step. “Due to depression, I am killing myself. Nobody else is the reason. My brain is my enemy,” the suicide note read reportedly

The police said that Radhika Reddy returned home from the office and went directly to the fifth floor of the building from when she jumped off. The anchor suffered multiple fractures and injuries and died on the spot, the police informed.

Radhika’s father told the media that he was waiting for his daughter to return from office. He, however, heard a loud noise around 10.30 pm and found his daughter had committed suicide by jumping off from the building.

Radhika Reddy was working as a news presenter with V6 channel.

The anchor recently divorced her husband and lived with her parents in Moosapet. She even has a 14-year-old son who is differently-abled.

Several people, including journalists, expressed their grief over Radhika’s sad demise and urged people to seek help to fight depression before taking extreme steps.
