Bandla Ganesh booked under SC/ST Act by Hyderabad Police

Tollywood producer Bandla Ganesh has once again been surrounded by a controversy. The producer and his brother, Bandla Shiva Babu, have been booked by the Hyderabad Police over the allegations of abusing a couple by using their caste name.

The Shadnagar police registered a case under the SC/ST(Prevention of Atrocities) Act on Thursday.

The complainants, Dileep Chandra, and his wife claimed that they met Ganesh and his brother a couple of months ago to discuss a bank loan. In his complaint, Dileep said that he and Ganesh jointly took a loan from a local bank and purchased lands and other assets on the city’s outskirts. Dileep accused Ganesh of cheating him without repaying the loan due to which the bank seized the purchased assets.

When confronted over the same, the police said that the complainant was abused by Ganesh using the caste to which the former belongs to.

“We are verifying facts. Based on the evidence, further action will be initiated,” Shadnagar Assistant Commissioner of Police V Surender said.

Earlier, Bandla Ganesh found himself in trouble when YSRCP leaders lodged a complaint against him for his comments on party’s MLA Roja.

The producer was also sentenced to 6 months jail by Erramanzil Court after writer turned director Vakkantham Vamsi alleged that he wasn’t handed over his due payment.

In the past, Bandla Ganesh had produced popular Telugu films such as ‘Gabbar Singh’, ‘Baadshah’, and ‘Iddarammayilatoh’ starring Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun respectively.
