Visakhapatnam Police Force counts on children, calls upon them

The Visakhapatnam Rural Police have reached out to children and have held an open house for them. Why and how is it that the children will benefit?

The Visakhapatnam Rural police on Wednesday organised an ‘Open House’ for students of Minerva schools from China Mushidivada, Simhachalam and Gopalapatnam and BVK School, Visalakshinagar. Of importance here is the fact that the Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma himself demonstrated how the works happen and the system including the use of arms.

Everything that goes into keeping the system working including combat, information and clues gathering etc was explained to the children. Detection and defusing of bombs, the locked house monitoring system (LHMS) as well as how drones were used for collecting clues were explained.

The police reaching out to children can be explained by the fact that the SP himself has asked children to sensitize their parents regarding use of helmets and seat-belt. In addition to this safety, safety tips and remaining alert was taught to children. Reaching out to them is an all round good idea for the city at large.

Additional SP G. Srikant, DSPs N.S.S. Sekhar and R. Srinivas, Reserve Inspectors G. Gowriswara Rao and P. Nageswara Rao and Inspector, CLUES team, Sri Nagesh participated in the interaction.
