33 mini rythu bazaars are being set up in Vizag
Although digital transaction has been a great idea for some counters in Rythu Bazaar, there are some farmers who find it inconvenient to use Paytm even after downloading the app.
Farmers are facing difficulties to sell their commodities and transact through e-wallet. Few of them don’t have access to smart phones and the mass is not able to utilize the facility. Those who come from remote areas are far away from the use of technology. Unlike the urban population they cannot quickly switch to digital transaction.
Chinnanulu, farmer from Marrivalasa said “Keying a contact number itself is a big task for me. How can I make a business transaction through mobile app?”
Few vendors claim that they don’t know the complete mobile payment procedure. Some farmers are unable to transfer the money to their accounts.
Reportedly Vice-president of Paytm Deepak Abbot said “We are organising awareness camps on how to transact through Paytm across the country including video presentation.” The training programme will be intensified in the coming days, he added.
