Ola Joins Hands With Andhra Pradesh Government To Boost Tourism

Ola has joined hands with the Andhra Pradesh government in order to boost tourism in the state. The app through with cabs and autos can be booked announced the partnership with the AP Tourism Development Corporation on Tuesday. The move is in a bid to boost intercity and intracity transport services in the state, promote tourism and develop a mobility ecosystem.

Ola will be creating 25,000 job opportunities in the state through the same, encourage entrepreneurship and create a sustainable income for the youth in the next five years. The state government is looking at opportunities for growth after all the development at Hyderabad was all lost to Telangana. With the new city of Amaravati coming up, the state government is looking at developing tourism in the state.

The first batch of Ola and AP Tourism cars were recently flagged off by CM Chandrababu Naidu after an agreement was signed. The Chief Minister posted to his Facebook page – The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has entered into an exclusive partnership with Olacabs to boost transportation across the state, with both inter-city and intra-city services, and further promote tourism and mobility ecosystem in the state.

Ola plans to use this partnership as an example to launch similar services in other cities in the next five years. Ola currently runs in  Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh.

The vision of the state government right now is to make AP a model state for not just the country but even on a global level. Technology based development is the need of the hour and partnering with companies like Ola is touted to add a new dimension to the way transport works in India. Ola and the state government’s partnership is to provide a reliable service to tourists and residents, while creating jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities for several.

Ola will train individuals to become their driving partners and in the coming months, the partnership is touted to expand by bringing in electric vehicles like bikes and buses in the state. Ola’s offerings like Outstation, Sharing and Rental are not just convenient for locals, but tourists also when they are in need of safe commune. Specially put together tourism packages with trained driving partners will be launched soon for the growth of tourism in AP.
