It is comic and unfortunate but necessary all the same. So many instance of deplorable behavior shown by passengers on board aircrafts have been recorded recently. Aviation Ministry is coming up with a No Fly List for passengers who show show unruly behavior on any of the airlines in India. A first in the world, the no fly list has been awaited since some time. Persons with recorded instances of bad behavior and threatening activities will be restricted from flying on any of the airlines in india.
Domesticflyers will have to provide identity proof to book flight tickets and for this the documents are – Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport or Pan Card. In a proposal, the government is discussing the mandated proof of Voter ID.
No Fly List – First of it’s kind, any where, the list will have the list of people’s names and give the airlines in India the authority to ban people on board. It will also help Ministry of Home affairs to keep a tab on suspicious elements. ‘National security threat’ is an additional tab on the no fly list.
Unlike other places, India’s list will have people who are identifies by security agencies as well as witness recorded behavior in air.
Guidelines have been released by the Aviation Ministry and opinions from public agencies and people have been sought. the draft guidelines are named -‘Civil aviation Requirements on handling unruly or disruptive passengers’.
