New special trains to run from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad

Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad is one of the highest traffic railway routes in this region. As the passenger demand grows, ECoR is having to cope with it. In order to handle this demand, they have introduced two new special trains from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad and vice versa. Run on a weekly basis, these special trains will commence from 1 December 2021. 

Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weekly special train

Train no. 08579 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad weekly special train will depart from Visakhapatnam every Wednesday at 7 PM to reach Secunderabad next day at 7 AM. This train will run from 1 December 2021 to 29 December 2021. 

In the opposite direction, train no. 08580 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weekly special train will leave Secunderabad every Thursday at 7:40 PM to arrive in Visakhapatnam next morning at 6:40 AM. This train will run from 2 December 2021 to 30 December 2021.

Along its journey from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad, this train will have the following stoppages:

Duvvada, Anakapalle, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Vijayawada, Guntur, Miryalaguda and Sattenapalle. 

Composition:

The train will have 3 Third AC coaches, 8 Sleeper Class coaches, 6 General Second Class coaches and 2 Second Class coaches cum Luggage vans.

Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weekly special train

Train no. 08585 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad weekly special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 5:35 PM every Tuesday to reach Secunderabad the next day at 7:10 AM. This train will run from 7 December 2021 to 28 December 2021. 

In the return direction, train no. 08586 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weekly special train will depart from Secunderabad at 9:05 PM every Wednesday to arrive in Visakhapatnam the next day at 9:50 AM. This train will run from 8 December 2021 to 29 December 2021. 

Along its journey from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad, this train will have the following stoppages:

Duvvada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Guntur, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda. 

Composition:

The train will have 1 second AC coaches, 3 third AC coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, 6 General Second Class coaches and 2 Second Class coaches cum Luggage vans. 

These two new special trains from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad have been added to account for the festive rush expected in December on this route. ECoR has also added a special train from Visakhapatnam to Araku which will be flagged off on Monday, 22 November 2021.
