District Collector M N Harendhira Prasad has called for a promotional drive on the benefits of the new GST reforms. Speaking after inaugurating the Great Vizag Shopping Festival at AU Engineering College Grounds on the evening of 16 October, the Collector said the benefits of the cut in GST rates should reach all.
Describing the GST reforms as historic, Harendhira Prasad said the development would be a game-changer in the economic system.
The GST reforms would help achieve the ‘Swarnandhra’ goal, he opined.
The Collector visited all 66 stalls put up at the festival, displaying various products.
State GST Additional Commissioner Sitharam Sekhar. District Tourism Officer J. Madhavi and other officials participated in the inaugural function.
Earlier, an awareness rally was taken out from RK Beach to the festival venue, spreading the message about the benefits of the new GST reforms.
