Ahead of the Class X and Class 12 board exams, PM Narendra Modi conducted ‘Pariksha Par Charcha‘ 2.0 to field questions on tackling exam stress. The event witnessed the Prime Minister make a witty comment involving the popular digital game, PUBG, that left the audience in splits.
A worried mother complained to Modi on how her once-studious son is now addicted to online games and neglecting studies. She asked the Prime Minister for a suggestion on how to get her son back to books, to which, Modi replied, “Yeh PUBG wala hai kya?”. The comment translates to “Is your son a PUBG gamer?”
Being quite a relatable one, the PM’s comment broke the audience into laughter and applause.
Narendra Modi’s newly coined term, “PUBG Wala”, sums up the scene of many youngsters in the country in recent times.
On a serious note though, the Prime Minister then answered the woman, “This is a concern and a solution too. If we want our children to move away from technology, then they will be left behind in the race. Hence, it is important to encourage them in the field of technology.”
Narendra Modi further added that parents should explore ways in encouraging the productive energies of children towards technology.
