Narendra Modi
The Prime Minister is in Laos at the moment where there will be a bilateral meeting with US President Barack Obama, making it the eighth meeting between Modi and Obama in the last two years. The meeting will be held today on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summitt in Vientiane, Laos.
Narendra Modi today hit out strongly against Pakistan saying, “There is one country in our neighbourhood whose competitive advantage rests solely in producing and exporting terrorism. This export (of terrorism) is reducing space for peace and increasing the space for violence. It is putting at risk peace and prosperity of all. We need to target not only the terrorists but also their entire supporting ecosystem. Our strongest action should be reserved for those state actors who employ terrorism as an instrument of state policy. Terrorism is the most serious challenge to open and pluralistic societies; combating it requires collective effort.“
