IT Minister Nara Lokesh
Andhra Pradesh IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh threw an ultimatum at opposition party leader Jaganmohan Reddy. He challenged him to prove the corruption allegations levelled against him at any open forum.
While addressing the Mahanadu on the final day, Lokesh said that the main reason that he joined politics was to serve people and indulging into corrupt practices was not his need. He further on said that his grandfather was a Chief Minister by the time he was born and now his father also holds the same position. He’s not sure if he would ever earn the same reputation as them, but he’s certain of not earning a bad reputation as well.
He further on added that the opposition party was trying to create a rift among people, where initially Jagan tells the people of Godavari districts not to give their land for Pattiseema. He asked for the same by saying other projects threaten them and that the water will be diverted to Rayalaseema. On the other hand, he even instigated the people of Rayalaseema that water supply is a facility given only to coastal people.
Lokesh also mentioned that Jagan’s team even tried to show that were differences between him and his father Chandrababu Naidu. Despite of the many obstacles TDP faces, it is able to get big companies like HCL, Kia Motors and Foxconn to invest in the state.
Later on Lokesh stated that he would take full responsibility in making the port city an IT hub and ensure that Amaravati also gets IT companies. He would also see to it that the unemployment allowance scheme is rolled out within two months. Lokesh also said that TDP would make Rayalaseema a manufacturing hub.
He said, “Everyone knows that there is a sea in Vizag, but I can see two seas here – the yellow sea that exists at Mahanadu. I love Vizag & I don’t like leaving this place.” He adjured the youth to work hard, taking a cue from people like Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, Satya Nadella.
