Exclusive MSME park for the defence sector to be set up in Vizag

An exclusive MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises)park for the defence sector is said to be established in Vizag.

Maple Software CEO, G S Shiv Kumar, at a session on  ‘Financing MSMEs’, said, ” Keeping in mind about the huge opportunities for MSME, State Government should dedicate a park to MSMEs.”

He also mentioned, “Bigger units such as the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) should source at least 20% to 30% of their requirements from the MSMEs, as the latter is playing a key role in our economy.”

The Andhra Pradesh Government has taken the decision to open MSME parks in all the 175 Assembly Constituencies.

General Manager of SBI, Raghuram Shetty mentioned the schemes related to MSMEs. A total of Rs 12,600 crore is available for the MSME units. A presentation on Mudhra Scheme has been given by SIDBI Deputy General Manager, Mani Lal Chaudhary.

“YES Bank is the first to launch an exclusive app for MSMEs”, said Regional Business Leader of YES Bank, Vaibhav Sharma.
