In a grave news, molestation and rape of a minor girl by a 45-year-old man were reported in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
The accused, Khajipala Gnanandam, is a tailor by profession. Reportedly, he took the 8-year-old girl to his house and molested her. The incident happened on May 18, 2018, and was brought into the light on May 28, after the victim’s mother filed a complaint at a local police station.
Earlier, another 12-year-old girl was purportedly raped by five minor boys, all aged 16 or 17 in Chittoor district. The boys, reportedly lived near the girl’s place and were taken into custody for raping her over the last two months.
Rape allegations of two minor girls aged 5 and 7 by a 65-year-old man, 9- year-old girl by a 50-year-old rickshaw puller in Guntur district, 14-year-old minor girl by a 43-year-old local political leader in Dachepalli, Andhra Pradesh, are some of the incidents that were reported in a span of a month.
