Mango Recipes – Sorbet to beat the summer heat

Afternoons are getting hotter day by day and obviously we need something to cool down our throat. We bring you mango recipes which are easy to make at home and will surely satisfy you and your family.

Mango Sorbet is a luscious seasonal Frozen Dessert that can satisfy your craving for a frozen dessert. It is perfect dessert recipe for anyone with lactose intolerance and the best part is – It is 100% VEGAN.

Call it a perfect alternative to Ice cream or Ice cream’s poor cousin, we find this luscious fruity treat a good substitute for Ice cream and frozen yogurts.

Sorbets are French Frozen Dessert made with Fruit Puree along with a right portion of Sweetener. It just takes about 5 minutes to put together and freeze the ingredients for few hours. Try these mango recipes yourself and enjoy this seasonal dessert for dinner.

Ingredients
3 Cups Mango Puree [fresh or canned]
1/2 Cup Maple Syrup [available at the Karachiwala store]
1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
Juice of 1/2 a Lime

Procedure

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until well combined. Transfer them to a Metal tin or a plastic box and freeze them for at least 4 hours or overnight. If the sorbet is really firm, let the sorbet sit outside for 15 minutes or so before you could scoop them into the bowls.  Scoop them with an Ice-cream scooper and serve immediately. Garnish with mint and enjoy your Mango Sorbet Guilt free.

Note: You may make it with fresh mangoes. Ensure after you puree them, you yield approximately 3 Cups. ENJOY these mango recipes
