Road accidents continue to plague Vizag as a person dies in another mishap

Deadly accidents continue to plague the streets in Vizag. While a few days ago, it was reported that two individuals had lost their lives in a road accident near Anandapuram, the latest accident in the city has killed one more person.

As per the details provided by the police of 3 Town police station, five people boarded an autorickshaw near Maddilapalem bus depot on Tuesday morning. At Satyam junction, a car lost control while trying to dodge a speed-breaker and collided with the autorickshaw that was ahead of it. The collision caused the autorickshaw to tip over, causing severe injuries to the five passengers, who are currently being treated at a hospital.

On the other hand, the car, after running into the three-wheeler, went on to hit a passing pedestrian, Appalanaidu (54), who belonged to Resapuvanipalem. The accident left the man with serious injuries, to which he succumbed while being taken to a hospital.

The police have registered and investigating to gain further insights.
