Three people die as lightning strikes in Visakhapatnam

The recent thunderstorm and lightning activity led to the death of 3 people in Visakhapatnam on June 4. 

Two senior intermediate students, P. Hemanth and N. Pawan Kumar namely, have gone to Sampathpuram area under Anakapalle Rural Police Station limits to play cricket along with others. The area was then hit by a thunderstorm, and lightning struck the two boys who were taking shelter under the tree. Another two boys who were along with them met with injuries.

Also, a shepherd from Govada area under the Chodavaram Police Station limits died after getting struck by lightning while he was returning from the farm.

The police shifted the bodies to the government hospital for post-martem.
