KTR congratulates Andhra Pradesh on EODB rankings, Nara Lokesh responds

Nara Lokesh responds to KTR’s wishes to AP: Andhra Pradesh stood as the top state in the recently released ease of doing business rankings prepared by the World Bank and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). The state, with a score of 98.42%, managed to hold on to the distinction, while Telangana bagged the second spot with a score of 98.33%.

Even though the new state missed out on the top spot by a narrow margin, the fact that the Telugu states have stood atop the list is praiseworthy. Expressing the same, Telangana IT Minister, KTR, took to Twitter. “We missed the 1st spot in EODB rankings 2018 by a whisker; 0.09% Nevertheless, inspirational leadership from Garu & good work by our bureaucracy has resulted in a good rank this year too Congratulations to Andhra Pradesh led by Garu on topping the list,” he tweeted.

In response, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, Nara Lokesh tweeted, “Congratulations to you too . There’s no “One and Two”. There’s only “Telugu states at the top”. All for the good of Telugu people.”

With both the states coming out all praise for each other, the Telugu people are busy sharing the conversation on social media.

Based on the 405 business reforms initiatives identified by the centre and the feedback from businesses, the country’s states and Union Territories have been ranked to create a healthy competitive environment for attracting investments and facilitating easier ways for carrying out various business activities.

Harayana and Jharkhand, with scores of 98.07 percent and 97.99 percent respectively, followed suit. National capital Delhi, on the other hand, slipped further down from its last year’s rank and stood 23rd on the list this year.
