Know Your Coffee!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Coffee is so much more than just a drink. The lip-smacking drink perks us up when we are drowsy. It is included in our daily routine right from lurching out for coffee with colleagues on a busy day and who doesn’t love catching up with  friends on weekends over a cup of coffee?

These days coffee shops can be unapproachable with too many Italian terms. Being  a coffee lover, you wouldn’t want to be caught unaware on what to order and have no clue of the difference between Americano from espresso or cappuccino from latte. So here we come up with a list that help you brush up on coffee facts and will also let you know what suits your taste.

Drip coffee

This coffee is prepared by pouring water over roasted ground coffee beans that are contained in a filter. As the water seeps through the grains, it absorbs the essence of the beans. It is collected in a vessel and served black or with cream and sugar.

Espresso Shot

Espresso

Highly concentrated coffee that is made with hot water forced at pressure through incredibly fine grounds. It is made in coffee machines. Strong black coffee lovers can opt for an espresso shot.

Cappucino

Cappuccino

A coffee with foam on top and traditionally served in a glass on saucer and is made from foamed milk. These days coffee makers have been innovative by making beautiful latte art.

Latte

Latte

It is milkier than a cappuccino, made from regular heated milk and served in a beautiful porcelain cup. People who like a smooth milky coffee can opt for it.

Moccachino

Mochachino

They are much like cappuccino with a hint of chocolate. Usually served with little less foam and often topped with chocolate powder or sauce.

Americano

This coffee is made by pouring hot water into shot of espresso and is strong.

Iced coffee

If you don’t like it hot, then opt for iced coffee. Iced coffee may be served chilled or poured hot over ice. Frequently served with ice cream or whipped cream.

Irish coffee

This coffee is prepared by adding  a little alcohol, i.e espresso combined with whiskey and cream.
