South Korean automobile giant Kia Motors on Thursday said that it would be investing a raised amount of whopping $2 billion in the company’s upcoming manufacturing unit in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh by the year 2021. The company also informed that it would be soon recruiting 3000 employees to operate at the plant.
It has also been learned that the company, which is one month ahead of its schedule for the current plant, is expecting the construction process to be completed by the end of the first quarter of the next year before beginning the vehicle production later in 2019.
Kia motors, among its range of other vehicles, will also expectedly launch an India-exclusive compact electric vehicle in the country between 2019 and 2021.
