The hype for Khaidi No. 150

The film features Chiranjeevi, Kajal Agarwal in the lead role and marks as the former’s comeback to acting after 10 years in his 150th film. It is a remake of the Tamil film Kanthi which released in 2014.

This movie is set to release today in theaters all over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is expected to be the biggest opener in the AP/T box office and may beat the record of Baahubali as well. This is the 150th movie of Chiranjeevi and hence is highly awaited in the state. The hype about the movie had benefited the AP/T theatrical rights to land record prices and the distributors have also made grand plans for its release in theaters across the state.

This movie is releasing in 275 single screens and over 45 multiplexes with a minimum of 10 shows per day. Some of these multiplexes will even show 20 shows a day. Khaidi No. 150 is also being released in regions of AP/T like Vizag, Ceeded, Guntur, Nellore, Krishna and east/west Godavari as well. As per advertisements in various newspapers, this movie is schedules to be released in over 1200 screens in both the Telugu speaking states and the distributors had a benefit show in the wee hours of today.

The makers of the movie have adopted several publicity strategies and have also shelled out hefty sum of money for its promotion. Till now, the movie is successful in translating the movies hype into 60% advanced booking in both the states. Some screens have also known to sell out all the movie tickets for the first day even before the release of the movie. Considering the hype for the movie, advanced booking and the screen count, this movie is likely to break the record of ‘Baahubali’ which collected 28.50 crore gross on the first day.
