Jio Creates History After Crossing 16 Million Users

Jio, a telecom service under Reliance creates history after crossing the mark of 16 million users in just 26 days! Reliance Jio started its services on 5th of September this month by giving free sims to people. People who would sign up for the telecom services until 31st December, 2016 were eligible for the issue of a free sim.

Along with a free sim, Jio provides 4GB worth 4G data per day. And unlimited voice calls until 31st December.

From January 1st, 2016 onwards, the data would be charged but the calls will  remain free of cost.

Since, the sims are being given free of cost with such amazing offers, a person is bound to accept it and hence helping it cross the mark of 16 million users in 26 days.

Reliance claims to set a world record with this and said,”We achieved this growth faster than any other telecom operator or start up including Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype“.

Jio is India’s first 4G-only carrier and over $20 billion has been spent on the infrastructure and spectrum license.
