Police arrest ‘Jagan fan’ after he threatens Pawan Kalyan in a viral video

The Guntur police have arrested Tiyagura Venkat Reddy on Thursday for sending death threats to Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan in a self-shot video. Venkat Reddy, who claimed to be a fan of YS Jagan, released a video in which he warns Pawan Kalyan for his statements against the YSRCP chief.

The video shows Reddy saying, “Pawan Kalyan, if you are really as big as you claim, if you really have the support of Jana Sena members, then come and face us. We are ready to kill or die for our beloved Jagan. You dare not say anything against him. You are a child in front of Jagan and don’t have the capacity to speak against him.”

Reddy also added, “We (Jagan’s supporters) are large in number and are ready to do anything for him. Apart from having 4 hit movies, you have nothing else. You may be a hero to the world but not for us.”

The video went viral on social media and created a huge uproar among Pawan Kalyan fans. The Guntur police acted swiftly and took Venkat Reddy into custody before things turned ugly.

The News Minute quoted Guntur Urban SP Vijay Rao as saying, “As soon as the video went viral, and discussion on the video began to occur, it came to our attention, and we identified the accused.” The SP added, “It is okay to speak against anyone you disagree with, but when the statement disrupts peace. the police will take strict action. If someone is trying to create some nuisance or law and order issues, or spark disputes between two groups, we will not tolerate it. For example, we don’t know which group Venkat Reddy is associated with, but because of the things he said, it is presumed that it will disrupt peace, and we had to arrest him.”

It has also been informed that Venkat Reddy is an accused in two murder cases. While he has been acquitted in one, police are looking for further insights into the second case.
