IT firm Mindtree and other IT companies line up at Visakhapatnam

Yet another big name in Information Technology, IT firm Mindtree is all set to set up office in the port city of Visakhapatnam. Not just Mindtree but many others are making a bee line for the city as plans for establishing an IT Hub in Visakhapatnam picks up.

IT firm Mindtree is a big name and it is coming to set up shop in Visakhapatnam. Yet another in a slew of IT companies knocking on our door. This initiative was taken up by our IT Minister Nara Lokesh who met the CEO of Mindtree, Rostow Ravanan. The discussions were successful and the company is taking up office in Vizag. An initial start with 150 officials is being planned and AP Government will be allocating it space shortly. The CEo was appraised of the various initiatives underway at Visakhapatnam for making it an IT Hub of global standards. The advanced Block Chain technology and Fintech are lucrative for many IT firms who have a future operations portfolio in mind.

Not just IT firms, AP is looking at electronics manufacturing units and others to set up clusters in AP. A large number of information technology firms have already come in and all big names. A whooping 12, 600 number of jobs have been created and as per assurances by Nara Lokesh, this is just the beginning.
