Eastern Naval Command inaugurate Hindi Fortnight in Visakhapatnam

Hindi Fortnight was inaugurated at Headquarters of Eastern Naval Command of Indian Navy in Visakhapatnam by Rear Adm Deepak Kapoor, Chief Staff Officer (Personal & Administration)  Eastern Naval Command (ENC) on 03 Sep 18.

The inauguration function conducted at Swarna Jyoti was attended by service and civilian personnel from various establishments of ENC. The fortnight will witness various Hindi competitions, workshops and the 24th edition of Hindi magazine ‘Poorvi Vani’  will also be released with a view to inculcate interest towards the usage of Hindi amongst the personnel.

Inaugurating the Hindi Fortnight, Rear Adm Kapoor appreciated the dedicated efforts taken by the staff towards implementation of Official Language Hindi.  He also exhorted all personnel to carry out official work in Hindi to the maximum extent possible in order to accelerate the implementation of Hindi in the Command.

Earlier on 26th July at 10 A.M., the Vice-chancellor of Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, Prof.G.Nageswara Rao, met ENS Indian Navy Admiral, Sunil Lamba. Prof. Nageswara Rao initiated the discussion and briefed about the defence courses being offered to Army, Indian Navy, and Air Force personnel.  During the meeting it was discussed that the Diploma, certificate, degree, P.G. and Ph.D. courses may be pursued in A.U. campus on the signing of MoU, mutually agreed.

It was also highlighted by V.C. that Andhra University wishes to extend its services to the people who serve the nation. Prof. Rao also admitted that if Navy personnel pursue their studies in A.U. it enhances the Brand image of A.U.
