Flashback to This Day, That Year. Telugu newspaper clipping from 15 August 1947.

To commemorate and look back at the years gone by we give you a snapshot from history. Flashback to 1947 and the tumultuous year that it was. The newspaper clipping details the important events that occurred that year. It is very good to know and good to see. The nation that was bonded to rulers from foreign lands became free. An India reborn. What better day to enjoy the flashback than today. Have a look for yourself.

Highlights:

  • Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is ceremoniously sworn in and invited to form his Cabinet of Ministers.
  • Pandit Nehru is given the freedom to chose and form his cabinet.
  • Mahatma Gandhi gives a message for the people of India.
  • Shradhanjali if offered to the people who sacrificed their lives for the freedom our nation.

It is not a small thing witnessing this history in flashback. The telegu newspaper was printed and published in Madras. It is very precious and a sacred vintage find. We today enjoy the fruits of labor of people who are no more. There is more than meets the eye and sacrifice between the fine lines of the newspaper. It is more than flashback. It is a slice of our life lived by those who blessed us with it.

Pride, Vizagites Pride. This gives us pure unadulterated pride. Jai Hind.
